Ride the rails up into the clouds, through untouched Alpine countryside, over roaring mountain streams, past towering walls of rock. The panorama journey through the Swiss Alps leads over 291 bridges, through 91 tunnels and across the Oberalp Pass, situated at over 2,000 metres above sea level. The 7½-hour trip between St. Moritz/Davos and Zermatt in this classic mountain train really is a journey to remember – with high points at both ends of the route. St. Moritz captivates with its elegance and air of exclusivity. Savour the luxurious ambience and enjoy a stroll either here against the spectacular backdrop of the breathtaking Engadin mountain scenery or in Davos, the highest-lying town in Europe. Zermatt, on the other hand, is home to the world's most photographed mountain, the Matterhorn. This traffic-free resort in the canton of Valais presents itself as illustrious yet primordial. In between the two resorts, the train winds its way through Graubünden's UNESCO World Heritage site, crossing the country's "Grand Canyon", the Rhine Gorge. Your freshly-prepared lunch is served to you in the comfort of your own window seat (or on the stretch to/ from Davos, in the restaurant car). We know that only the best is good enough for you.

Ideal for: bon vivants, culture lovers and families.

Sightseeing attractions: St. Moritz, UNESCO World Heritage route with the Landwasser Viaduct, Rhine Gorge, Oberalp Pass, Furka tunnel, Zermatt and the Matterhorn.
