For over 30 years, the Klibühni armchair theatre has been
presenting a colourful, fresh mixture of own productions, guest
performances and special events (around 100 each year), all staged
in a beautiful town building. Top quality and respectability are
of prime importance. The performances are usually well booked. The
Klibühni is a humour-oriented meeting place of Chur’s
theatre world and comprises an association with 700 members. Particular
importance is attached to work by local artists. The Klibühni
aims to present four to six premieres each year. The varied programme
of events is made up of blocks of themes. As an additional attraction,
in the summer the theatre also runs the Höfli-Beiz restaurant,
serving a range of first-class cuisine and wines, spiced up with
an exciting cultural programme. The fact that each year the Klibühni
can count on the help of around one hundred volunteers in the kitchen,
in service, in the bar and looking after guests, goes to show just
how firmly the city’s most varied theatre is anchored in Chur.
